Gluten Free for the 5:2 Fast DietLose between 3-5 pounds or more each week on this easy to follow diet. With Illustrated Recipes This cookbook contains specially adapted gluten-free recipes you will need to follow the 5:2 Fast Diet, also known as the Intermittent Fasting Diet. This is the 'diet' that lets you eat normally 5 days a week but on the other 2 you should try to restrict your intake to 500 calories if you are a woman and 600 calories if you are a man. It really is that simple. Many dieters find it a problem finding things to eat on a fasting day and give up very quickly. You could decide to simply buy low calorie ready meals, if you can find gluten-free meals, but they often contain ingredients that are not particularly good for you because they contain many additives or they can work out quite expensive over a longer period. It therefore makes a lot of sense to be able to cook something quick and simple and be able to freeze portions as well because you don't want to spend too much time in the kitchen when you are trying to eat less. This recipe book has over 95 gluten-free recipes that will make your fasting days a lot easier to cope with and even look forward to. They include quick breakfasts, easy lunches and some delicious dinners. The recipes are carefully put together with a balance of protein and carbohydrates and all ingredients are ready available and in many recipes, very economical. They will satisfy even the hungriest appetites on your two fasting days and they are not just smaller portions. Includes:*Hearty Potato and Leek Soup*Chicken & Chips*Spinach & Mushroom Stew*Curry Coated Chicken*Toad in the Hole*Tomato & Courgette Crunchy Bake*Fresh Pesto SpaghettiMenus are set out in either 1, 2 or 4 portions depending on ingredients and are calorie grouped. It is a good idea to cook bigger batches and freeze the extra portions for your other fasting days. This saves you cooking meals on every fasting day which should make it easier to stick to it

Harry Potter's first taste of Hogwarts, as it were, is an eye- opener. While the Dursleys did not completely neglect to feed Harry, they never allowed him to eat as much as he wanted. So at his first Hogwarts feast, for the first time in his short life, he is allowed to eat as much as he likes (see Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Chapter 7). Each school year at Hogwarts begins with a celebratory meal in its cavernous Great Hall. No doubt those magnificent meals left an indelible impression on a young Harry, who hungered for more when living with his Muggle relatives: a feeling of kinship and of family that he clearly lacked; a desire to know his clouded past, which had been carefully and deliberately hidden from him at all costs by his duplicitous uncle and aunt, the detestable Dursleys; and most of all, a desire to realize who he truly is, living in two diametrically opposed worlds, the unimaginative Muggle world and the enchanting world of wizards, his true home. Though we Muggles will never get to taste life in the wizarding world, we must console ourselves with sampling the food Rowling writes about so lovingly. In her seven novels, food - breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks - plays an important part, an essential ingredient that helps complete our picture of life at Hogwarts. That's especially true for American readers who are largely more familiar with Big Macs and fries at McDonald's than with traditional British cuisine: Black Pudding, Crumpets, Spotted Dick, Kippers, Steak and Kidney Pie, trifles, and other dishes. Fortunately, we Americans do share a commonality with some of the foods mentioned in Rowling's novels and this delightful cookbook. First on that list is ice cream, which of course is universally loved and needs no explanation to Americans. Candy, too, is a universal favorite, though wizards get to enjoy confections not available to Muggles: Jelly Slugs, Fizzing Whizbees, and Fudge Flies, to name a few (see Harry Potter and the

I grew up reading and admiring the authors who could get me so far into a book that regardless of my surroundings, I needed to finish the story. Breakfast, lunch, and even dinner had to take a backseat to whatever book I held in my hands. It's only natural to assume that I put friends and family on the back-burner… so to speak. I had to finish the book. After all, what would Sir Arthur Conan Doyle or Mickey Spillane say? Let us not forget Mr. Dashiell Hammett. These were my heroes. Sherlock Holmes would think his way into the culprit's mind, forcing them to give up. Every crook in town knew that Mike Hammer could live up to his name and literally hammer down the bad guy. How about the Thin Man and his wife, who would brow-beat, and if necessary shoot the bad guy in the foot or the arm. All the while enjoying a martini. Of course they did all this with their feisty little dog It seemed as though all it took was a street-smart detective to look into a case and before you could say, "another shot here bartender" or "well, Watson, I do believe we have succeeded." Then unfortunately, the book ran out of pages. Whether or not my pro antagonist, Jack Wills will ever be as well known as the fine detectives of my past, I don't know. I can only wish it so. Jack's first case starts out a new way of life for the post WW II warrior. Instead of peaking through key-holes or taking pictures of naughty spouses, he has to go around kicking the butts of people who are not of our world. So begins The Curator's Orb. His friends, both from childhood and adult-life help out when they can, but fighting supernatural entities requires a lot of hard work. Especially looking for an evil god inside a golden ball. I created Jack because I wanted to try a different approach to private detectives. As much as I would like to say it was easy to do this… uh, uh. It took some thinking and typing and erasing and more typing and more… you get the picture. There are three Jack Wills books so far. I do en
